| INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS |
In order to publish the articles and to considerably reduce the period of time between the papers’ submission and publishing, the authors must carefully consider the following instructions:
The manuscripts’ maximum length is 10 pages on A4 paper (tables and figures included), typed with 1.5 spacing, printed on one side only, using characters of 10 pts. The manuscripts should not contain handwriting corrections.
The articles must contain an abstract. The abstract should comprise maximum 300 words and must be followed by 2-6 key words selected according to “Medical Subject Headings”.
Romanian authors should send both the Romanian and English version of the article, including title, abstract and key words. Foreigns authors should send the English version of the article.
The manuscripts’ presentation
1. Title (maximum 80 characters; all caps; bold); authors (first name, surname; bold+italic); abstract (approximately 300 words) and keywords (2-6). As footer at the first page of the article, the authors are kindly asked to write: their profession, scientifical title, institutional affiliation, e-mail address and mailing address.
2. The text must be formated in Microsoft Word or in other compatible text processors, typed with Times New Roman 10, spaced at 1.5 lines. The text must be typed continuously, without “Tab”, “Enter”, underlines, page numbers insertion, header/footer, generally without any type of technoredactation.
Only International Measure Units and their abbreviations could be used in the text.
3. References are listed at the end of the article, in alphabetical order, with font Times New Roman 10, 1.5 line spacing, as follows: authors, article’s title (bold), the name of the publication (italic), editor, volume, number, year, pages.
If the article also comprises notes, these are attached, in the order of their appearance in text, at the end of the article, under the subtitle “References and notes” (not at the footer of each page).
4. Tables, photos and graphics should be indicated with Arabic digits (eg., table 1, fig. 1 etc.).
5. The graphics must be well-contrasted, square-shaped and accompanied by a concise legend.
7. The tables and graphics should be saved in separate files using Excel or other comparables softwares. The tables, graphics and photos should be submitted separately, indicating their place in the manuscript.
8. The files might be archivated using the common softwares: ARJ, RAR, ZIP.
The submission of the manuscript to publication implies:
a) The manuscript’s approval by all authors.
b) The publishing permission obtained from the institution to which the authors belong.
c) The paper have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
d) The authors accept the unconditioned and complete transfer of the copyright to the Romanian Journal of Bioethics.
e) The authors assume entirely the responsibility regarding the ethical scientific conduct including plagiarism.
The articles that do not follow the mentioned indications will be send back to the first author for the necessary corrections, thus delaying the material publication.
